Medıcıne and Pharmacy
Homogenization (known as micronization in the pharmaceutical industry) is applied to reduce the particle size of the product under very high pressure using turbulence and cavitation effects to make the product more stable and increase its effectiveness. An emulsion, suspension, or solution is pumped into a high-pressure homogenizer and passed through a specially manufactured homogenization valve at pressures up to 2100 bar. Particles enter the homogenizer at a maximum size of 500 microns and exit after homogenization micronized to a size of 0.4-1 microns. In the pharmaceutical industry, it has been proven that high-pressure homogenization produces a stable product with significantly better active ingredient distribution compared to traditional mixers, colloid mills, or rotor-stator devices. This is achieved by reducing particle size and increasing homogeneity under high pressure.
