A Turnkey Production Line Solution
Our caramel and topping sauce production line is delivered as a complete package, including a pre-mixing vessel, high-pressure homogenizer, centrifugal pump, vacuum tank, cooling unit and filling system. Working with a single manufacturer guarantees compatibility between equipment and keeps process responsibility clear and in one place.
We design the line from the ground up, engineering it to match your hourly capacity, product recipe viscosity and plant layout. CIP/SIP clean-in-place systems, compliance with CE directives and ISO 9001 quality management all help keep your production line aligned with food safety regulations.
The Heart of the Line: High-Pressure Homogenization
What sets caramel and topping sauce apart on the shelf is the quality of homogenization. HOMMAK’s in-house high-pressure homogenizers break down the fat globules within the sauce to a micron scale, giving it a smooth texture, a creamy appearance and a long shelf life.
As a manufacturer producing homogenizers and piston pumps since 2004, we offer pressure (from 150 to 1,500 bar) and capacity options tailored to your caramel sauce production line. The result is a product that looks more appealing and stays physically more stable.

A Quote Built Around Your Production Capacity
Share your daily production target, your sauce recipe and your plant conditions, and our engineering team will prepare a custom line design and price quote for you. We deliver solutions at every scale, from small pilot production to high-tonnage industrial lines.

How Does the Caramel & Topping Sauce Production Process Work?
Producing caramel and topping sauce is an integrated process that spans several stages, from raw material to filling. The line runs efficiently only when each piece of equipment has the right capacity and technical specifications.
1. Raw Material Preparation: Sugar, glucose syrup, milk fat, cream and flavoring agents are dosed according to the recipe. Accurate weighing and dosing at this stage determine the flavor profile of the finished product.
2. Melting and Mixing: The prepared mixture is melted at a controlled temperature in a jacketed vessel. The caramelization reaction takes place at this step, and the sauce’s characteristic color and aroma develop here.
3. Homogenization: The high-pressure homogenizer forces the mixture through a narrow gap under pressure, distributing the fat and solid particles uniformly. The sauce gains its viscosity and stability at this step.
4. Vacuum Concentration and Cooling: The sauce is concentrated in a vacuum tank to reach the desired consistency, then cooled in a controlled manner in the cooling unit. This step is critical for shelf life and for preserving the texture.
5. Storage and Filling: The finished sauce is held in stainless steel storage tanks and from there transferred to automatic filling machines for packaging.
Why Is Homogenization So Important in Caramel Sauce?
Homogenization is the single most critical process step affecting the quality of caramel and topping sauces. Breaking the liquid structure into particles under high pressure determines the product’s texture, stability and shelf life.
In sauces that have been inadequately homogenized, fat separation, inconsistencies in consistency and a shortened shelf life create the risk of returns. These problems, which damage brand reputation and retail-shelf performance, are solved at the source with a homogenizer that delivers the right pressure and number of passes.
HOMMAK’s industrial-type homogenizers reduce the sauce particle size to the desired micron scale and keep viscosity consistent from batch to batch. That means both recipe assurance and uniform quality for your large customer portfolios.
The Role of Centrifugal Pumps in the Production Line
In caramel and topping sauce production, centrifugal pumps move dense, viscous liquids hygienically along the line. When transferring the sauce from the vessel to the homogenizer, and from there to the cooling and storage tanks, pump selection directly affects production speed and energy consumption.
HOMMAK uses food-grade centrifugal pumps suited to the sauce viscosity and line design. The right pump configuration brings lower energy consumption, less waste and more controlled material transfer. Over the long term, this noticeably reduces your production cost.
Who Is the Caramel & Topping Sauce Production Line For?
The HOMMAK caramel and topping sauce production line is designed for industrial producers across different segments of the food industry:
- Ice cream manufacturers: producers who position the sauce as a swirl inside the ice cream or as a topping for finishing.
- Confectionery and chocolate factories: for filling sauces, glazed products and custom caramel applications.
- Bakery and pastry industry: sauce feeding integrated into the production line for cheesecake, cake, brownie and snack products.
- Coffee chain suppliers: HoReCa-format caramel and topping sauce production for beverages such as latte, frappé and milkshake.
- Private label and contract manufacturers: flexible line configuration for companies producing for multiple brands with different recipes and packaging formats.

The Advantages of Choosing the HOMMAK Caramel Sauce Production Line
Single-point engineering responsibility. Because the homogenizer, pump, tank and filling system all come from a single manufacturer, there are no compatibility problems between equipment. Responsibility is consolidated at a single point.
Our own homogenizer manufacturing. We do not source the line’s most critical piece of equipment — the high-pressure homogenizer — from outside; we produce it in our own facility. That means both a cost advantage and fast access to spare parts.
Turkey-based manufacturing, global experience. We manufacture at our factory in İzmir Torbalı and ship production lines to different regions of the world. Local production brings short delivery times and low logistics costs.
Recipe-aligned line design. We don’t push a standard catalogue on you. Every recipe is different; the milk fat ratio, the glucose/sucrose balance and the target viscosity directly affect equipment selection. Our engineering team starts the line design by reviewing your recipe.
After-sales technical support. Commissioning, operator training, periodic maintenance and spare-part support are part of the contract. When your line goes down, we offer a service model that starts by phone and continues on-site when needed.
Frequently Asked Questions About the Caramel & Topping Sauce Production Line
How much does a caramel and topping sauce production line cost?
The price of the production line varies according to capacity, automation level, homogenizer pressure class and any requests for extra equipment. It is not possible to provide a standard price list. Once you share your recipe and your target production volume, our engineering team will prepare a custom quote for you.
What is the delivery time for the line?
For lines with a standard configuration, the manufacturing time is approximately 12–16 weeks; for complex custom projects, it can be 20 weeks or more. Commissioning and training are planned in addition to these times.
Do you also design lines for small capacities?
Yes. For pilot production and boutique-scale producers, we offer line solutions starting from a level of 50 kg/h. The same line can be designed modularly so that it allows for a capacity increase in the future.
Can you integrate just a homogenizer into my existing line?
We can. The line does not have to be entirely from HOMMAK. We also handle the integration of a high-pressure homogenizer and the necessary auxiliary equipment into your existing plant.
How does the line’s CIP/SIP cleaning work?
CIP (Cleaning in Place) and SIP (Sterilization in Place) systems allow the line to be cleaned and sterilized in place, without disassembly. They significantly shorten recipe changeover and daily cleaning times and make compliance with food safety regulations easier.
Do you provide certificates and conformity documentation?
Our production lines are manufactured in compliance with CE directives and documented within the framework of our ISO 9001 quality management standards. On request, 3-A sanitary–compliant configurations can also be provided.
